Renewables

Gabrielle is passionate about helping clients enter into the renewables market, develop, acquire and operate successful renewable projects.

Increased renewable energy generation and transmission is critical over the next decade. Environmental impact assessment and environment and planning approvals are critical to the establishment and long-term success of new projects.

Gabrielle works with clients to map out the various strategic options for a project, with timescales and associated risks for each project stage.

I support your in-house property and commercial teams, or external corporate and property lawyers to deliver legal advice on environmental and planning aspects of renewables projects.  As necessary, Gabrielle can retain environmental and planning consultants to support project due diligence, particularly over larger transmission corridors that traverse numerous land parcels with different land conditions and development controls.

Taking a modern approach to environmental law requires consideration of stakeholder engagement, community consultation, and merits and judicial review appeal rights in addition to statutory approvals pathways.
