Gabrielle Guthrie,

Gabrielle is a specialist environment and planning lawyer. She works with corporate and government clients, often for businesses with operations in multiple Australian jurisdictions. She has 19+ years’ tactical and technical experience, which includes advice in all Australian States and Territories.

In 2016, Gabrielle founded her sole practitioner law practice, Guthrie Legal, to help clients get the important support they need, in the way that works best for them. We support commercially astute environment managers, GMs, in-house lawyers, C-suite and boards who need clarity on legal requirements and risk management from an accessible independent expert lawyer.

Gabrielle is the former chair of the Law Institute of Victoria’s Environmental Issues Committee and is recognised as a leading Environment & Climate Change lawyer in Doyles Guide. Gabrielle is sought after by industry and clients alike for her expertise and regularly appears as guest speaker for a range of organisations including the Australian Environment Business Network (AEBN); the Australasian Land & Groundwater Association (ALGA); the Governance Institute of Australia; the Planning Institute of Australia; the Professional Environmental Women’s Association (PEWA) and EIANZ.  Gabrielle is dual qualified (England & Wales and Australia).
